That indoor air pollution can be 100 times more severe than outdoor air? The EPA notes that the quality of the air within your home can have a more significant impact on your health than outdoor pollutants.

Home Moisture Control

As mold thrives on humidity and moisture, no mold treatment can be successfully executed without first identifying and correcting the moisture source. BEFORE ANY QUOTES ARE MADE – Palmetto Environmental Solutions mold control specialists will find the moisture source and provide recommendations to you to resolve any issues.

In addition to rapid response to glaring moisture issues, we also offer solutions for long-term moisture control, including crawl space encapsulation, dehumidifiers, drainage, ventilation systems and more.

We make use of infrared thermography and cameras. These specialized tools allow for us to determine water problems without the costly removal of building materials. The infrared imagery will show us exactly where moisture issues are prevalent. Next steps are that we act accordingly and efficiently.

Palmetto Environmental Solutions has years of experience providing home and commercial air checks across the Carolinas. Our process is simple and non-intrusive. We will take air samples inside and outside your home or building. Samples are lab analyzed for airborne mold spore concentrations. Temperature, relative humidity and material moisture readings will also be taken.

RAdon Testing

According to the EPA, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer below smoking and is responsible for thousands of deaths annually. While there has been debate over the impact of radon in the home on overall health, prominent studies have provided significant evidence that residential radon presence is a direct cause of lung cancer. 1 in 15 homes has been found to have a radon problem. Don’t take the risk. Protect yourself and your family by hiring PES to perform a non-intrusive home radon test. Our qualified experts have been doing this for years and follow specific protocols outline by the EPA. We will find any radon issues and provide cost-effective recommendations and services to mitigate them.
Radon is a natural gas that occurs due to the decomposition of uranium in dirt, stone and water. Because the air pressure outside of your home is typically higher than inside, this gas can be pulled in through cracks and other gaps. The gas can also enter homes through well water in more rare cases. There are short-term and long-term radon tests ranging from 48 hours to 90 days. If a short-term radon test shows levels of 4 pCi/L or higher, the EPA recommends that another short-term or a long-term test be performed. If levels are still at 4 pCi/L or higher, the EPA recommends that you treat your home immediately. PES is a qualified contractor that can test your and home and provide recommendations for solutions if high levels are found. Call today.
